Die Vorträge in den Gruppen I. und II. bestehen aus zwei Auswahlrunden:

II. Runde – mit Klavier, Finale

Die Vorträge in den Gruppen III. und IV. bestehen aus drei Auswahlrunden:

I. Runde – Solo

II. Runde – mit Klavier

III. Runde – mit Klavier, Finale

- Die Reihenfolge der Vorträge wird durch Auslosung bei der Eröffnungszeremonie entschieden.

- Reihenfolge der gespielten Werke kann innerhalb der Runde frei gestaltet werden.

- Alle Werke außer Sonaten mit Klavier und moderne Stücke müssen auswendig und ohne Wiederholung vorgetragen werden.

- Einzelne Ausnahmen müssen angefragt und durch Wettbewerbsbüro genehmigt werden.

- Das für den Wettbewerb angemeldetes Programm kann nach dem 31. Januar 2024 nicht mehr geändert werden.

- Die Klavierbegleiter(innen) werden ab der zweiten Runde kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt.

- Der Teilnehmer hat das Recht, einen Klavierbegleiter auf eigene Kosten mitzubringen.

- Die Vorträge sind öffentlich und werden ab der II. Runde zusätzlich durch YouTube live übertragen.

- Die Rechte für die sämtliche Fotos, Künstlerfotos, Video- und Audioaufnahmen, die während des Wettbewerbs entstehen, liegen ausschließlich beim Wettbewerb und deren Veranstalter. Die Teilnehmer erhalten die Fotos und Videos auf Anfrage digital zugeschickt.

- Die Preisträger sind verpflichtet, beim Preisträgerkonzert ohne Honorar solistisch mitzuwirken.

- Jurymitglieder bewerten Vorträge nach den jeweiligen Runden mit einfachen „JA“ oder „NEIN“ Stimmen. Die Mehrheit der Stimmen ist entscheidend.

- Jury hat das Recht, die Werke zu kürzen, die Vorträge zu unterbrechen. Die Entscheidungen der Jury sind endgültig und unanfechtbar.

- Reise- und Hotelkosten tragen die Teilnehmer.

- Das Wettbewerbsbüro bietet Unterkünfte im 3-Sterne-Hotel und in gehobener Studentenunterkunft samt Vollpension direkt am Wettbewerbsort im Schloss St. Michaels-Heim mit Übemöglichkeiten direkt im Zimmer und Probemöglichkeiten.

- Die Unterbringung im Hotel ist in Ein-, Zwei/Doppel- und Vierbettzimmer möglich. Die Unterbringung in gehobener Studentenunterkunft ist in Ein-, Zwei/Doppel- Drei- und Mehrbettzimmer möglich. Die Unterbringung im Hotel und in gehobener Studentenunterkunft des Schlosses ist ausschließlich mit Vollpension und für den ganzen Wettbewerbszeitraum buchbar.

- Die Kosten im Hotel beginnen bei 545 € pro Person / 5 Nächte im Doppel / Vierbettzimmer inkl. Vollpension

und in gehobener Studentenunterkunft bei 495 € pro Person / 5 Nächte im Dreibett- / Mehrbettzimmer inkl. Vollpension

- Die Kandidaten erklären sich bei der Anmeldung mit den Bedingungen des Wettbewerbs einverstanden. Im Zweifelsfall ist der deutsche Text der Ausschreibung verbindlich.

Musicians of all nationalities are warmly welcome to take part in the competition.

The competition is open for the following instruments:

Violin → Program

I. Group – violinists up to 9 years old, born from March 11, 2014

II. Group – Violinists up to 13 years old, born from March 11, 2010

III. Group – violinists up to 17 years old, born from March 11, 2006

IV. Group – Violinists up to 32 years old, born from March 11, 1991

Viola → Program

III. Group – Viola players up to 17 years old, born from March 11, 2006

IV. Group – Viola players up to 35 years old, born from March 11, 1988

Violoncello → Program

I. Group – cellists up to 9 years old, born from March 6th, 2014

II. Group – cellists up to 13 years old, born from March 6th, 2010

III. Group – violoncellists up to 17 years old, born from March 6th, 2006

IV. Group – cellists up to 32 years old, born from March 6, 1991

The auditions in groups I and II consist of two preselection rounds:

1st round – solo

2nd round – with piano, finale

The auditions in groups III. and IV. consist of three preselection rounds:

1st round – solo

2nd round – with piano

3rd Round – with piano, finale

- The order of auditions will be decided by draw at the opening ceremony.

- The order of the works played can be freely arranged within the round.

- All works except piano sonatas and modern pieces must be performed from memory and without repeat.

- Individual exceptions must be requested and approved by the competition office.

- The program registered for the competition cannot be changed after January 31, 2024.

- The piano accompanists will be provided free of charge from the second round onwards.

- The participant has the right to bring a piano accompanist at his own expense.

- The auditions are open to the public and will also be broadcast live on YouTube from the second round.

- The rights to all photos, artist photos, video and audio recordings created during the competition lie exclusively with the competition and its organizer. Participants will receive the photos and videos digitally upon request.

- The prizewinners are obliged to take part in the prizewinners' concert as soloists without fee.

- Jury members evaluate presentations after the respective rounds with simple “YES” or “NO” votes. The majority of votes is decisive.

- The jury has the right to shorten the works, interrupt the performance. The jury's decisions are final and incontestable.

- Participants bear travel and hotel costs.

- The competition office offers accommodation in a hotel and upscale student accomodation including full board directly at the competition location in St. Michaels-Heim Castle with practice opportunities directly in the room and rehearsal opportunities.

- Accommodation in the hotel is possible in single, double and triple rooms. Accommodation in the upscale student accomodation is possible in single, double, triple and multi-bed rooms. Accommodation in the castle's hotel and upscale student accomodation can only be booked with full board and for the entire competition period.

- The costs in the hotel start at €545 per person / 5 nights in a double / triple room including full board

and in the upscale student accomodation at €495 per person / 5 nights in a triple/multi-bed room including full board

- When registering, candidates agree to the terms and conditions of the competition. In case of doubt, the German text of the advertisement is binding.

Unterkunft & Verpflegung

Das Wettbewerbsbüro bietet Unterkünfte im Hotel und in gehobener Studentenunterkunft samt Vollpension direkt am Wettbewerbsort - im Schloss St. Michaels-Heim, mit Übemöglichkeiten direkt im Zimmer zwischen 08:00 & 23:00 Uhr und Probemöglichkeiten in den Überäumen des Schlosses.

Die Unterbringung im Hotel ist in Ein-, Doppel- und Vierbettzimmer möglich. Die Unterbringung in gehobener Studentenunterkunft ist in Ein-, Zwei-, Drei- und Mehrbettzimmer möglich.

Die Unterbringung im Hotel und in gehobener Studentenunterkunft des Schlosses ist ausschließlich mit Vollpension und für den ganzen Wettbewerbszeitraum buchbar – vom 01. bis 06. März oder vom 06. bis 11. März 2024.

Kosten für die Unterbringung im 3-Sterne-Hotel inklusive Vollpension:

ACCOMMODATION & FULL BOARD

The competition office offers accommodation in a hotel and upscale student accommodation including full board directly at the competition location - in the St. Michaels-Heim Castle with practice opportunities directly in the room between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. and rehearsal opportunities in the castle's rehearsal rooms.

Accommodation in the 3 stars hotel is possible in single, double and quadruple rooms. Accommodation in upscale student accommodation is possible in single, double, triple and multi-bed rooms.

Accommodation in the castle's hotel and upscale student accommodation can only be booked with full board and for the entire competition period - from March 1st to 6th or from March 6th to March 11th, 2024.

Costs for accommodation in the hotel including full board are:

The accompanying persons staying in the castle receive free entry to all competition activities.

Mit der ausgefüllten Onlineanmeldung reichen die Bewerberinnen und Bewerber digital

- Lebenslauf

- Künstlerfoto mit rechtefreien Veröffentlichung

- Kopie des Passes oder ID

- Auflistung der Werke, die für den Wettbewerb ausgewählt wurden mit Angabe der genauen Werkverzeichnisse wie Opus, KV, BWV und ungefähre Angabe der jeweiligen Dauer. Eine Änderung ist nach dem letzten Anmeldeschluss am 31. Januar 2024 ist nicht mehr möglich)

- Zahlung der Anmeldegebühr in Höhe von 185 € (Online per Link) bei einer Anmeldung bis zum 31. Dezember 2023 oder 235 € bei einer Anmeldung bis 31. Januar 2024 . Die Anmeldegebühr für nicht zugelassene Teilnehmer wird zusammen mit der Mitteilung über die Nichtzulassung zurückerstattet. Für zugelassene Teilnehmer erfolgt keine Rückerstattung der Anmeldegebühr, auch wenn diese aus welchen Gründen auch immer nicht zum Wettbewerb erscheinen.

Die Anmeldung wird nur zusammen mit Zahlung der Anmeldegebühr akzeptiert und berücksichtigt. Nach der online-Anmeldung erhalten Sie per E-Mail den Zahlungslink für die Bezahlung von Unterkunft & Verpflegung - wenn diese dazugebucht wurde.

Eine Aufnahmekommission entscheidet über die Zulassung zum Wettbewerb. Hierbei werden pro Gruppe / Instrument maximal 30 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer nach der Reihenfolge der Bewerbungseingangs zugelassen. Die Aufnahmekommission kann in Einzelfällen weitere Unterlagen vom Bewerber anfordern.

Frühzeitige Anmeldeschluss wegen dem erreichten Maximum an Teilnehmer wird auf der Website und in den digitalen Medien, wie Newsletter oder Soziale Netzwerke, angekündigt.

Die Entscheidung über die Zulassung zum Wettbewerb wird innerhalb von 5 Tagen nach dem Eingang der Anmeldung per Email mitgeteilt. Erklärungen dazu werden nicht gegeben.

- Payment of the application fee of €185 (online via link) if you apply by December 31, 2023 or €235 if you apply by January 31, 2024. The registration fee for inadmissible participants will be refunded together with the notification of non-admission. There will be no refund of the registration fee for admitted participants, even if they do not appear for the competition for whatever reason.

Registration will only be accepted and considered together with payment of the registration fee. After registering online, you will receive an email with the payment link for paying for accommodation and full board - if this has been booked.

An admissions committee decides on admission to the competition. A maximum of 30 participants per group/instrument will be admitted in the order in which applications are received. In individual cases, the admissions committee may request additional documents from the applicant.

Early application deadlines due to the maximum number of participants reached will be announced on the website and in digital media, such as newsletters or social networks.

The decision on admission to the competition will be communicated by email within 5 days of receipt of the registration. No explanations are given.

SCHLOSS

Der in gehobener Bezirk Grunewald umfasst den gleichnamigen weitläufigen Wald und ein Wohngebiet mit eleganten Villen und Hotels. Auf dem Teufelsberg, einem künstlich aufgeschütteten Hügel aus Schutt aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, werden in einer Abhörstation aus der Zeit des Kalten Krieges Führungen angeboten. In der Nähe liegen der Teufelssee und das interaktive Naturzentrum Ökowerk Berlin. Das Mahnmal Gleis 17 im Bahnhof Berlin-Grunewald erinnert an die Juden, die von hier aus in Zügen deportiert wurden.

Von 1898 bis 1908 erbaute der Hofbaurat von Kaiser Wilhelm II., Ernst von Ihne, für den Bankier Franz von Mendelssohn (ein Großneffe von Felix Mendelssohn-

Bartholdy) an der Ecke Bismarckallee/Herthastraße ein aufwändiges Palais im englischen Landhausstil. Es war eine verkleinerte Version des Schlosses Kronberg im Taunus. Franz von Mendelssohn, späterer Präsident der Berliner Industrie- und Handelskammer, schuf eine Atmosphäre gelebter Toleranz und Nächstenliebe. In seinem Palais verkehrten Wilhelm II. ebenso wie Max Planck oder Albert Einstein, der hier im heutigen Salon Mendelssohn musizierte…

Das Wettbewerbsbüro bietet Unterkünfte im Hotel und in gehobener Studentenunterkunft samt Vollpension direkt am Wettbewerbsort im Schloss St. Michaels-Heim mit Übemöglichkeiten direkt im Zimmer und zusätzlichen Probemöglichkeiten in den Übungsräumen des Schlosses. Die Unterbringung im Hotel ist in Ein-, Doppel- und Vierbettzimmer möglich. Die Unterbringung in gehobener Studentenunterkunft ist in Ein-, Zwei- Drei- und Mehrbettzimmer möglich. Die Unterbringung im Hotel und in gehobener Studentenunterkunft des Schlosses ist ausschließlich mit Vollpension und für den ganzen Wettbewerbszeitraum (5 Nächte) buchbar.

Die Kosten im Hotel beginnen bei 545 € pro Person / 5 Nächte im Doppel / Vierbettzimmer inkl. Vollpension

und in gehobener Studentenunterkunft bei 495 € pro Person / 5 Nächte im Dreibett- / Mehrbettzimmer inkl. Vollpension

Die Essenszeiten im Schloss sind täglich:

Frühstück: 07:00 – 09:00

Mittagessen: 12:30 – 14:30

Abendbrot: 17:30 – 19:30

Der Ankunftstag ist entweder der 1. März oder der 06. März 2024 sein.

Der Abreisetag ist entsprechend der 6. März oder der 11. März 2024.

CASTLE

The upscale Grunewald district includes the sprawling forest of the same name and a residential area with elegant villas and hotels. On the Teufelsberg, an artificially raised hill made of rubble from the Second World War, guided tours are offered in a listening station from the Cold War era. The Teufelssee and the interactive nature center Ökowerk Berlin are nearby. The Platform 17 memorial in Berlin-Grunewald train station commemorates the Jews who were deported from here on trains.

From 1898 to 1908, Kaiser Wilhelm II's court building officer, Ernst von Ihne, built the building for the banker Franz von Mendelssohn (a great-nephew of Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy) on the corner of Bismarckallee and Herthastraße is an elaborate palace in English country house style. It was a smaller version of Kronberg Castle in the Taunus. Franz von Mendelssohn, later president of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, created an atmosphere of tolerance and charity. Wilhelm II frequented his palace, as did Max Planck and Albert Einstein, who played music here in today's Salon Mendelssohn...

The competition office offers accommodation in a hotel and in upscale student accommodation including full board directly at the competition location in St. Michaels-Heim Castle with practice opportunities directly in the room and additional rehearsal opportunities in the castle's practice rooms. Accommodation in the hotel is possible in single, double and quadruple rooms. Accommodation in upscale student accommodation is possible in one-, two-, three- and multi-bed rooms. Accommodation in the castle's hotel and upscale student accommodation can only be booked with full board and for the entire competition period (5 nights).

- The meal times in the castle are daily:

Breakfast: 07:00 a.m – 09:00 a.m

Lunch: 12:30 p.m – 2:30 p.m

The arrival day will be either March 1st or March 6th, 2024.

The departure day is March 6th or March 11th, 2024.
